The 82nd 120 Rumbleseat Coupe to roll out of the Packard Motor Car Company. Here the car is shown without the deck lid or rumble seat back but those pieces are with the car.
The car is very excited to have some new bones. These siderails tie the front of the car to the back and makes her strong. She is ready for you to refinish.
Here is a picture of the old floor pan and the new one we have for the car. The one on the right is whole and complete while the one on the left was so rusted this was all there was.
Here are some additional parts that go along with this car. Pictured are the wheel covers, filter, headlight cans, door panels, bumpers, springs from the seat among others.
All this and sidemount spares to boot!
The classic Packard Straight Flathead 8 a most reliable engine. This one will need some work before it gets back on the road, but when it does get back it will be a prize!
The cross members are mortised into the side rails before installing the whole thing in the car.

Week 4
The rear fender had extensive crumpled damage which needed to be straightened, shrunk, stretched and patched.
Here is an after shot of the fender fit into place with all the metal work completed. The result is a straight clean line fender.
Clockwise from top left:

A lot of work went into making this fender whole again. You can see the front edge was gone and had to be patched.

Here it is reattached to the running board.

An inside look and the patch, shrink and strech process necessary with this twisted fender.

A rear shot of the remade fender. It is really starting to take on its proper lines.
An early shot of the front spare fender prior to rework.
An after shot of the new spare bucket clamped in place and ready to weld.
Clockwise from top left.

The spare bucket had bad metal which was cut out.

The shop's newly fabricated English wheel is put to the test and a new piece is fabricated for the spare tire bucket.

Part of the cowl was also remade to make the front right fender fit properly.

The new metal is welded onto the cowl and the fender finally fits correctly.

A new lower brace is made to replace the broken one that came with the car.

Metal work is done to the outer shell and the new brace is clamped in place and ready to weld.

The shell welding is finished and the brace is welded in place to make the grill shell whole again!
